HI Crafty Friends,
Rosali of I Love Stamping is back with an adorable baby card featuring Purple Onion Designs. As you know, Rosali is the queen of cuteness and Purple Onion Designs (with a Stacey Yacula illustration) is here to help out with another sweet and cuddly critter, Carmel.
This card comes together in a snap but is oh, so cute!
Rosali has created this loveable baby card by first creating a panel from Neenah white card stock then, masking off the top portion. With the upper part of the card masked, Rosali used her blending tool and started at the bottom with Blueprint Sketch distress ink. She applied a small section of Blueprint Sketch then worked her way up, changing colors to Mermaid Lagoon, then Cracked Pistachio, fading to nearly no ink at all. Once all the inks were added and blended nicely, she splattered water on all the ink and blotted it off.
While the distress ink was drying, Rosali stamped Carmel, the little bunny with her teddy, onto white card stock and colored her with Copic markers. Carmel was then fussy cut-out and set aside while the letters that spell ‘BABY’ were die cut using Altenew’s Caps Bold Alphabet dies.
There were only a few things left to do. First, a ‘Hallo’ (Hello) and star were stamped onto a black cardstock strip with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The ends of the sentiment strip were trimmed.
Now all the pieces were ready to be assembled. Using a card base larger than the inked panel, the corners were rounded with a rounding punch. Next, the corners on the panel were rounded, then the panel adhered to the front of the card base. The BABY letters were added by overlapping them slightly and adding them to the bottom of the card base.
The final steps were to add the sentiment strip and the bunny with a bit of foam tape to pop it up. Tiny sequins hearts were applied for extra pizazz.
And there we have it, another AWESOME card from Rosali! ♥
