We are back again with another fabulous project from Rosali of I Love Stamping (IG: @ilovestamping). We are always so excited to share Rosali’s creations. They are always filled with beautiful coloring and adorable characters, like this little squirrel.
We are in love with this no-line coloring design. The delightful squirrel sleeping under a mushroom from the MFT Always Brings A Smile could be the beginnings of a children’s storybook tale – how cute!
Rosali has chosen to use a no-line coloring technique for this card. So, she stamped the squirrel and mushroom image with very light ink, like Antique Linen distress ink, onto a piece of Bristol paper. Then, brought out her faithful Winsor & Newton watercolor markers and went to town coloring. Since she was using Bristol paper, she was able to use a little water to blend.
Once the coloring of squirrel and mushroom scene was done, Rosali added a little blue for the sky and green for the grass, using her markers again.
To finish up, she popped up the illustrated panel with some foam, then mounted it onto a kraft cardstock card base. A kraft sentiment strip was made by stamped and white heat embossing the sentiment, then cut it out using the MFT Blueprint 28 die set.
A few clear droplets were added to complete this adorable picture! ♥
