Joyous Feathered Friend

Hi Creative Friends,

I have another holiday card design and video for you using some of my favorites. First, I can never resist making a card with a lovely bird, especially one that is as beautiful and elegant as this one. The bird is made by using Feathered Friends 16 die, accompanied by the foliage from the Modern Gift die set.

I am delighted to share this video. It will walk you through all the steps! A picture is worth a 1000 words, right?

Here are a few close-ups. The bird, of course, is the star of the show but the foliage cut from watercolor paper and colored with different inks helps pull it all together. Check out the supply list below for all the ink colors used.

I used a Dark Indigo for the card base and background. I seem to lean toward contrast so this worked but it would be equally nice in a lighter or white background too.

Then, the gold embossed ‘Joy’ really sets it off.
