Striped Cityscape by Laurel Beard

Hi Everyone,

We hope your summer is filled with fun and relaxation. One way to relax and enjoy some leisure time is to grab a cup of your favorite beverage and check out what Laurel Beard at Simply Cardmaking is up to. She always has tons of fantastic projects and how-tos and she is sharing one with us today!

Laurel is using the City Stacks stamp and die set by Concord & 9th to create this fun and colorful card. Below, Laurel gives you a quick run-down of steps to make this card.

A bright, colorful pop up city card is what I have for you today! I am so pleased to be back with the folks at The Foiled Fox today and sharing this fun, bold, colorful POP UP City card…. Who wouldn’t want to live in one of these buildings?? See the photo below to see how the panels pop up? Creates fun dimension with not a lot of bulk, which means – NO extra shopping cost.

The Concord & 9th City Stacks stamp set and coordinating die made putting this card together a breeze. I started by stamping the images onto watercolored cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I watercolored the images with the Gansai watercolors. Very messy water coloring – a great opportunity to have your kids craft with you!

I assembled the panels together in pop-up style and adhered the scene to a piece of black/white striped background from this paper set. There are many sentiment builders in this set, but I chose to keep it blank for now so I can customize the sentiment for the occasion. When the time comes, I’ll stamp it right there below the teal buildings!

Fun right?????? Thanks so much to the folks at The Foiled Fox for letting me hang out with you all today!!!!!
