To get started, stamp with black ink your sentiment and images. Color in any stamps – with any pens or watercolors you like.

What I love about this is how simple it is, and how quick it gets you to the best part: embellishing! For this card, I cut the white cardstock down to 3 ½ x 4 ¾” and mounted to orange cardstock 4 ¼ x 5 ½” that will become the front of my card.

Once you’ve played around with placement and what things you might like, drop a few little drops of liquid adhesive and add your initial embellishments starting with biggest and working smaller.

Before you know it, you’ll have a fun card ready to share!

This was a lot of fun – I used a favorite Lawn Fawn pumpkin stamp set and it would work well with a wide variety of stamp sets where there are small images and sentiments meant to go together.

I’ve got a second card to share using this same kind of idea, but this time we’ll use the Hero Arts layered tree stamp set. Oh, this one is a favorite!

This time I used Lawn Fawn Dye inks to layer on leaves. This stamp set is so fun – you really can’t mess it up! I kept repeating with various colors from Carrot to Jalapeno and I love the results! After I was done stamping I tore the edges of the white cardstock so I could mount it to a colorful card base, and then it’s embellishment time!

As you can see sometimes one simple small cluster is all you need. I just love how this card turned out – so much detail and yet so simple and a single stamp set and embellishment kit.
