This is Zinia here with you today. As the holidays approach I thought it would be fun to share with you a slightly Christmas themed project that can also work all year round.
Instead of working in my art journal, I decided to use a flat canvas board. This way I can hang it on the wall as decoration or gift it to someone for the holidays.

This card features a Winter Bird serenely perched on a birch tree. I just love the effects of watercolor - so soft and lovely. I don't live where it snows, so a wintery scene allows me to pretend!

Adorable Bear & Things Card
Hi there,
I thought I would take a very short pause from the holiday cards and share a card of an adorable bear to celebrate the birth of a brand new little bundle of joy that came into our family. Our niece gave birth on Halloween - woo-ee. She must love having babies on holidays. Her son was born on Valentine's Day a few years back. Now little Jolene Priscilla has entered the world. What a sweet occasion!
I was tempted to do the card in Halloween colors but having daughters myself, I couldn't resist the soft and beautiful pinks of little new ones...so pink it was.

There are so many beautiful colors of Christmas other than just red and green. Today we are celebrating "Christmas in Pink". This card was made with beautiful, fresh white poinsettias that were made with the Penny Black Burst of Red die set and are cut from the Shimmer Quartz card stock.
