Simple Flowers for a Friend

Simple Flowers for a Friend

Hi Creative Friends,

We are sharing a super fun and cheery card design with you today. It features the awesome Simple Flowers set (stamp, stencil, and die) by Concord & 9th and Kristina Werner. We are in love with these playful flowers!

As mentioned, there is a stamp, stencil, and die to this set. The complete set gives you the chance to make a myriad of card designs and projects, For this design, we used the stamp and die set, leaving the stencil for another fun project – we can’t wait!

To begin, we stamped a dotted pattern onto an A2-sized panel of Jawbreaker card stock using the Simple Dots background stamp. Concord & 9th’s Juniper cardstock is the same color. The panel was adhered to a card base.

Next, we cut out a bunch of flowers from various colored cardstock using the dies. It is a great way to use scraps. Concord & 9th has a beautiful array of colored cardstock but they are currently out of stock in their store and ours. So, the next best thing is Spellbinders. They have just come out with a complete selection of colored cardstock. We will add some variety packs to our supply list below but you can buy each color individually too.

After cutting out all the flowers and leaves, and adding the centers to them, we cut a hexagon using Penny Black’s Hexagon frames from white cardstock and rimmed the edges with gold ink. A sentiment from the stamp set was stamped using Versafine Black Onyx ink.

The flowers and leaves were arranged on the dotted panel and the hexagon was popped up with foam squares. This whole panel was added to the front of the card front.

That completes our project for today. We hope you enjoy as much as we do! Thanks for being here!
