Sweet Stems
Hi friends! It’s Dana (IG: @dkirbystamps) here today and I am back with two cards that use the Sweet Stems set from Concord & 9th. This is a stencil, die, and small stamp set that is so fun to use and has so many possibilities!!

I started my first card by making my card panel with the Sweet Stems Stencils. This is a four-pack of stencils that layer together to create a full card panel. I love that there is even a stencil for the background. I used Concord & 9th ink for my blending (Powder, Pink Lemonade, Watermelon, Lilac, Sprout, and Parsley). Next, I used the Sweet Stems stamp set to stamp the centers on my flowers. I used Fig and Honeysuckle ink for this step.

Sorry the color is “off” in this photo, but I was working in the evening and there wasn’t any natural light. Though I wanted to show you that you could just use the stencils and create a card panel without the die overlay.
Once my stenciled panel was finished, I used the Sweet Stems cover plate die to die-cut the whole panel from white cardstock. I attached the die-cut directly onto the stenciled background with liquid glue. I love the clean white lines that the cover plate adds to the overall card design.

For my sentiments, I used the Sweet Stems stamp set and dies. I stamped my sentiments in Powder, Sprout, Lilac, and Pink Lemonade ink. I then attached a coordinating cardstock strip behind each sentiment before attaching them to my card panel with foam adhesive to finish my card

For my next card, I used the Sweet Stems cover plate die and Concord & 9th cardstock (Powder, Lilac, Sprout, and White). I die-cut the panel from white cardstock to create my frame. I then ran the die through my die-cutting machine with Lilac, Sprout, and Powder cardstock to die-cut the individual pieces. I then inlaid the individual pieces back into the frame to create my panel. Lastly, I used the Sweet Stems stamp and die set for my sentiment.
Note: Concord & 9th’s assorted pack is out of stock – sorry! An excellent substitute is the various card stock packs from Spellbinders. Some. are included in the supply list below.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my cards. The Sweet Stems products are so fun to use and I love that they can be used for so many different occasions. I hope I inspired you to give them a try!!
Enjoy your day,
Dana
