Pretty Posies
Hi Creative Friends,
I am sharing two card designs using the Pretty Posies stencil by Concord & 9th/Kristina Werner. The awesome thing about this stencil is that it is 6″x9″, which means you can make two A2 cards. I doubled it efficiency by stenciling two different color schemes at the same time!

I wanted to make the most of the big 6″x9″ stencil so I drew a pencil line down the middle, dividing it into two-4.5″x6″ sections. Then, selecting two sets of ink colors, one for each side of the panel.
Then, starting with the first stencil and the lightest color for each side, I ink-blended Ballet Slipper on one side and Sea Glass on the other, then continued with the next stencil and the next color for each side until I had used all the flower stencils and ink colors. Here is a process pic of my progress half-way through so you can see what I mean. Notice the line down the middle and the two color schemes.
By the way, the colors used for both sides were: Ballet Slipper, Sweet Pea, Honeysuckle, and Buttercup for the centers and Aqua Sky for the background. For the blue side, I used Sea Glass, Aqua Sky, Oceanside, Peacock, and Buttercup for the centerand Juniper for the background.

With the stenciling done on both halves, I cut the panel into 2-A2-sized pieces.
Using the blue panel first, I trimmed it back and mounted foam to the back to pop it up. The flower panel was then mounted to an A2-sized Juniper cardstock panel that had already been affixed to a A2-sized white card base.

I stamped the sentiment using Juniper ink and cut it out using the matching dies from one of my favorite sentiment stamp and die set, Written Words (see supply list). The sentiment was then added to the front, along with some enamel dots fo finish the card,
For the second (pink) panel, I trimmed it to an A2-sized panel and mounted it to an A2 s-zed white card stock card base. To decorate the front, I added a thin frame made using white cardstock and the A2 Thin Frame die set by Kristina Werner.

A few flowers were cut using the matching Pretty Posies die set and assembled. The sentiment from the Written Word stamp set was stamped using Briar Rose and cut out using the matching die. They were each mounted to finish my second card.
And there we have it, two cards made in a jif by stenciling two sides at once. I loved it!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project too. Please let me know what you think. See you next time! ♥
