It’s Your Day
Hi Creative Friends,
I am popping in to share a fun card to make!. I used the Concord & 9th Bright Blossoms stamp and die set to create a cheery display of flowers that are perfect for any occasion. The other great thing about this set is that you can use any color scheme that you like, They all work.

There are two ways to approach making this card. One, you can use colored paper to cut out all the pieces, or blend the color onto the pieces. I was trying to be quiet while I crafted, so I chose to blend on the color this time but it is equally wonderful using colored paper!
I started by cutting out the pieces from bristol paper. Bristol paper is so great for blending colors. I also cut an A2-sized panel and made a matching white cardstock card base.
Using ink blending tools (supply list), I colored the background with Concord & 9th Nectar ink, and the flowers were colored with Grapefruit, Honeysuckle, and Wildberry, all Concord & 9th inks. The leaves were ink-blended with Eucalyptus and Parsley for shading.

Once all the pieces were colored, they were fitted together like a puzzle and glued onto the A2 panel.
For a little extra dimension, I added a second layer onto the larger flowers, then the whole panel was lightly splattered with white ink.
When dry, the whole panel was mounted onto the card base and a simple sentiment was added. I chose one I had previously made by letterpressing the sentiments using the brilliant Spellbinders Betterpress system and their porcelain all cotton cardstock.

And there we have it. A cheery flower-y card to send to a special recipient! ♥
