Daisy Love

Hi Cardmaking Friends,

I have a trio of fun things to share with you today. First, I have three card designs to share that feature the Daisy Bouquet stencil pack by Concord & 9th and Kristina Werner. Kristina is a superb cardmaker, so she knows what works and what’s fun and versatile to work with. So, when you get a Kristina Werner goody, you know it is going to be awesome!

The second super fun thing to announce is that we are having a July sale. You can save 15% on most items in our shop, but hurry! The sale ends Friday, July 25, at midnight. The coupon code is 15JULY25 (see more details at the end of this post).

Last but not least, I am featuring three cards today so you know what that means… your chance to win a $25 gift certificate. Just leave a comment below and/or on Instagram (foiledfox). We will randomly select a winner – it coudl be you!!

Ok, on with the project at hand.

All three of these card designs have something in common. Can you guess what it is? Besides using the same stencil set, I ink-blended the background using the same colors onto a Bristol paper panel. I used Nectar at the bottom and Watermelon at the top. All the ink colors used were from the Concord and 9th ink collection.

So, to begin, I used the background stencil in the set. This stencil blocks out the flowers and stems, letting you only to color the background.

After the backgrounds were done, I ink-blended the flowers and stems by using the various stencils provided. The flowers in the first panel were colored with Powder, Harbor, and a dash of Blueberry. The centers were ink-blended with Buttercup. The leaves were colored with first Lemongrass, then Sprout and Parsley.

When the blue-flowered panel was finished, I trimmed it a bit and mounted it on a larger white cardstock card base. For the sentiment, I cut ‘Happy Birithday” from white card stock and using the Mama Elephant HBD Sweet Friend (with sweet friend trimmed off).

The next panel’s flowers and leaves were colored with Honeysuckle and Dragonfruit for the flowers. The centers were colored with Wildberry. The leaves again were ink-blended with Lemongrass, Sprout, and Lemongrass.

This panel was trimmed and mounted onto a Fuchsia cardstock card base. The sentiment was made using the Concord & 9th Hello and Thanks die set. I used white cardstock with a fuchsia shadow.

Finally, the third panel’s flowers and leaves were colored with buttercup and some flowers left white from the Bristol Paper. The centers were colored with Buttercup and a hint of Wheat. There was a change in the leaf colors. I used Eucalyptus and Avocado.

This panel was trimmed vertically and first mounted onto a slightly larger white panel. Using the Kristina Werner Gift Bow die set, I cut a bow and string, then mounted it. The whole assembly was then mounted onto a larger pink cardstock card base with space left at the bottom for the sentiment.

To complete this card, Happy Birthday was white heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment came from the Birthday Your Way stamp set by Papertrey Ink.

So, there you have it, three cards with one stencil. Which is your favorite? Enter our random drawing by leaving a comment at the bottom of this blog article and/or jump over to our Instagram (foiledfox) and leave a comment there.

Thanks for joining me today… I hope to see you next time!
