Have A Holly Jolly Christmas
Hi Cardmaking Friends,
I couldn’t resist making another card design using the wonderful Poinsettia Spray die set by Spellbinders. I love flowers and these sweet flowers in the set are such fun to create with. And speaking of fun, let’s have a little and start a $25 gift certificate GIVEAWAY.
Since this is my second card design using Poinsettia Spray, why don’t you let me know which you like better… the first one, or this one. There are a few ways you can play. First, you can comment here on the blog, or you can comment on Instagram ( @foiledfox) or drop us a line at info@thefoiledfox.com. I will post the two card designs at the end of this post so you can see them side by side..

For this card design, I used a Spellbinders Pink Blush A2-sized panel and a matching card base. The panel was imprinted with a quilt pattern from Papertrey Ink and lightly highlighted on the quilt lines.
Next were the flowers. I took a page out of Kelly Lunceford‘s book. She says she always makes a card from the leftover goodies from a project. I did just that. I had a few flowers left from the first card and thought it would be better to make another card than throw the flowers away or have them stashed in a drawer somewhere.

For the white holly leaves, I sprayed them with iridescent glitter spray to give them a sparkle. Then gold foiled the sentiment from the new Christmas Cheer Betterpress set by Spellbinders (you remember that you can use Betterpress plates to foil, right?) I used Spellbinders’ Glimmer Specialty cardstock for the best results.
The leaves and flowers were arranged and adhered with glue and/or foam squares, and the sentiment was added on.
To give it a finished touch, I created a skinny frame using rectangle dies, added foam strips to the back, and pressed it into place. A few clear glittery dots were added for extra sparkle.

I hope you liked the project for today. Here are the two cards side by side so you can decide which is your favorite. Be sure to let us know so you can be entered into our random drawing for a $25 gift certificate
Thanks for joining me….I’ll see you next time. ♥
