Dashing Reindeer
Hi Creative Friends,
I had a lot of fun creating this simple, but impactful Christmas card. The Betterpress Dashing Reindeer set made it all possible. With just a few supplies, this card design came together in a snap!

I haven’t used my Betterpress system for a while, and I have missed it! There is nothing like a letterpressed design! I love the deep impressions, especially on Spellbinders cotton papers. It makes all the difference in the world! So, suffice it to say, I used the double-thick cotton paper to letterpress, then cut out the reindeer and sentiment. I used the black letterpress ink for the antlers and gold Delicata Golden Glitz for the scarf and hanging ornaments. Spellbinders have thought of everything by including a template and instructions with the die set to get perfect placement for the gold bits.

For the background, I used my Glimmer system and the new Sparkling Confetti Betterpress plate to foil the falling snow. I used opal foil from Spellbinders (see the supply list below) for the snow, which was foiled onto Oceanside cardstock. I must mention that I often don’t get perfect foiling, but with the Oceanside cardstock, it was perfect. The cardstock is so smooth, it foils beautifully – hurray!
Using a white colored pencil, I made a nice landing place for my reindeer and mounted it, and the sentiment onto my foiled panel. A gold star cut from metallic cardstock, using the Papertrey Ink Starry Delight die set, was added to complete my card design.

I hope you enjoyed this card. I love its simplicity, and it’s a perfect one to make quickly, but it’s sure to impress! ♥
