Wild Meadows
Hi Creative Friends,
I have two new card designs to share with you today. Each card uses the beautiful Wild Meadow turnabout stamp and its matching die set by Concord & 9th. Turnabouts are a lot of fun when creating awesome backgrounds. You can choose to rotate 1 to 4 times, depending on how populated you want your design. To top it off, there is a matching die set that helps with the sentiments and dies that you can use to create a dotted design or stitch a stunning pattern.

I started with my sympathy card first. Sadly, I was in need of one.
I began by chucking a 6″ square white cardstock in my stamp positioner and then centered the turnabout stamp over it, This is easy to do since Concord & 9th delightfully includes a positioning sheet. I stamped, then rotated all 4 times, making sure I rotated in the same direction each time I turned. The colors I used were all Concord & 9th ink colors. They were: Nectar, Grapefruit, Eucalyptus, and Sprout. When done stamping, I trimmed the panel to slightly less than A2-size (4.25″ x5 1/2″),

I added a few dotted vines by using the dies in the matching set, then cut a few hexagons from white and Nectar cardstock. One of the white cardstock hexagons was stamped with ‘So Sorry” from the Sympathy stamp set by Penny Black, then stacked with additional hexagons so it would have dimension. At the same time, the hexagon die also cut a thin border. I used the Nectar cardstock borders to surround the hexagon.
With the sentiment mounted, I mounted the whole assembly onto an Eucalyptus cardstock card base. The card design was finished by stamping “… for your loss” on the inside.

For the second card, I used Hydrangea cardstock, the same turnabout stamp, and Cobblestone, Pebble, Wildberry, and Pink Lemonade. I stamped and rotated 4 times… just like before. From there, I added the viney dot pattern to the panel. I went willy-nilly with the vine pattern, thinking I was going to leave it that way… just like before,
Then, I got the brilliant idea to add silver stitching. One word about that, I loved how it turned out, but if you get the same “brilliant” idea, be mindful of where and how many vines you add! You could be stitching a while! By the way, the silver thread is gorgeous, but sadly, it doesn’t show its true beauty in the pics – ugh!
After the panel was completely stitched, I cut a couple of white cardstock circles, then stamped the sentiment using Pink Lemonade, and mounted it.
The whole panel was then mounted onto an A2-sized white cardstock card base to finish.

I love this turnabout stamp! I am completely smitten by the charming flowers and fun dies to add more embellishments to your card front, if you desire. I think it is super versatile too so I will reach for this stamp over and over again! ♥
