Sweet Heirloom Flowers
Hello again,
As promised, I am back sharing another way (out of many) you can use the beautiful Heirloom Turnabout and die set by Concord & 9th.I know you know that I am smitten with this set. It is so versatile and oh, so sweet! ,.. so it gets my vote!

This is such a lovely set to work with, and their turnabouts are really clever!! They seem complicated, but in fact, they are very simple. There are a few ways I have found where you can always have perfect success when using a turnabout, but for me, my favorite way is to start with a 5 7/8” square carstock panel. I use this size because the acetate guides included in the set are the same size.
Before we jump into stamping with the turnabout, I first wanted a subtle dotted background pattern, so I added an extra step. I stamped the panel with white dots using Kristina Werner’s Simple Dots background stamp and Concord & 9th’s white ink (a fav of mine!) onto a Windy blue square panel. With that done, I was ready for the turnabout.
To start, I placed the flower acetate guide in my stamp positioner and firmly mounted it in the lower corner. I carefully placed the stamp on top, ensuring the flowers aligned perfectly with the print on the acetate. Then, I closed the door, transferring the stamp to the lid.

From there, I mounted my now dotted cardstock square in my stamp positioner in the same lower corner as before, stamped the flowers using Grapefruit ink, rotated the panel clockwise one-quarter turn, and stamped again, only this time using Honeysuckle ink.
I repeated this 2 more times until I had rotated the panel and stamped on all 4 sides, alternating the ink as I went.
With the flowers done, I removed that stamp and mounted the leaf turnabout stamp in the same way, then stamped the leaves with Eucalyptus green ink. I rotated and stamped on all four sides using the same ink.

Once the panel was complete, I trimmed it, mounted foam to the back, and then applied it to a larger white cardstock panel.
Next, using the matching die set, I cut out the edge with Dahlia pink cardstock and the middle using white cardstock. There are a few sentiments included in the stamp set. I picked one and stamped it in Honeysuckle pink ink.
To complete the card, I mounted the sentiment on top and added a few die-cut flowers and leaves to decorate!

This Heirloom version is done. Now, which is your favorite? ♥
