What’s Cookin”?
Happy Saturday to Everyone,
I am jumping in this Saturday with a fun card design. This one features the cutest mouse! She is from the What’s Cookin’ stamp and cut set by Hero Arts. There are lots of accessories you can get for the mouse, like different outfits and super fun accoutrements. But today she is in the kitchen, whipping up some goodies!

I love adorable mice, and this one is soooooo cute! So, naturally, I started there, with the mouse and the kitchen accessories. I wasn’t quite sure which ones I would use, so I stamped them all with an alcohol-friendly ink. From there, they were all colored using alcohol markers.
This set includes matching cutting dies, so it was easy to cut out all the pieces. I then set them aside while I made the card itself.
I cut out a Bellini cardstock panel, slightly smaller than the card base. I stenciled a checkered pattern using the new Mini Checker stencil by Pretty Pink Posh, Concord & 9th Grapefruit ink, and a blending brush.

Next, I added a strip of Hawaiian Shores Bitty Big patterned paper, then wrapped a few strands of baker’s twine. Before adding the panel to my card front, I backed it with foam to pop it up a bit.
For my next panel, I cut out a wavy-edged panel from white cardstock using the Penny Black Waves die set, then stenciled a dotted diamond pattern. This panel was popped up too with foam squares.

The final steps were to arrange all the kitchen goodies and the darling mouse. For the sentiment, I white heat-embossed the ‘what’s cookin’ sentiment, then cut it into a thin strip. It works perfectly for my ‘table’ for my little pie and plate of cheese!.
That finished my project for today. I hope you enjoyed it! ♥
