Radiant Joy
Hi Creative Friends,
It is a crisp Saturday in December, and what better way to enjoy the day than a lovely holiday card! The very talented Carrisa Wiley @carrisawiley inspired this card design. She is a wonder!
For my version, I used Concord & 9th’s Radiant Piercing die. combined with Spellbinders Poinsettia Spray die set.

To start, I reached for my trusty Concord & 9th Assorted cardstock stack and thumbed through the colors until I found one I liked. Next, using the Radiant Piercing die, I imprinted the spray of lines, then started stitching them with DMC Metallic gold thread. The stitching didn’t take long, and it adds a very special element to the card design.
From there, I cut out a couple of flowers and lightly colored them with ink daubers and a few Concord & 9th inks (see supply list below). I also used a foliage die from the Winter Greenery die set by Honey Bee Stamps to fill in behind the flowers.

The ‘joy’ sentiment was created by cutting out the letters using another one of Concord & 9th’s dies, All Together Alphabet-lovercase. I used gold glitter paper and a few more were cut out of cardstock, then stacked and glued together to create a little dimension to the sentiment.
To create a base for the floral display, I cut a circle from green cardstock, applied it to the center of the card front. Next, I arranged all my floral and foliage bits and secured them using foam squares. Finally, I added the ‘joy’ sentiment.
For a little extra pizazz and to finish the card, I added a few sparkling clear confetti.

I hope you enjoyed this card design and will give it a whirl! The Radinat Piercing die can be used in sooooo many ways and for sooooo many occasions. It is definitely a keeper! ♥
