Regal Blooms for You
Hi Creative Friends,
I am excited to share a card design that features the new Regal Blooms etched die set by Spellbinders. Honestly, I first thought the flowers looked a little strange in the stock photos, but after a closer look, I discovered beautiful flowers with meandering, vine-like leaves that can be arranged and used in many different ways.
Here is my first layout and arrangement. Who knows, you might see another card design using these very versatile and beautiful floral die set!

I only had a vague idea of how I wanted the card to look, so I started by creating the flowers and leaves. I cut all the pieces from the Regal Blooms set from Bristol paper, then ink-blended some color. For the flowers, I used Lilac, Wildberry, and Plumberry ink from the Concord & 9th collection. The leaves were colored with Lemongrass and Eucalyptus. Next, they were all assembled and set aside while I figured out the rest of the design.
Spellbinders has a new 3D embossing folder in the Regal Blooms collection. It has an eclectic vibe to it, which is right up my alley!. Using this folder, I embossed an Oceanside blue panel for the background.

At the same time, I cut a circular burst from white cardstock, using the Burst die set by Penny Black. The inner ring was painted with gold paint for a touch of glitz. After the gold was dry, I glued the borders onto a solid burst pattern and stamped my sentiment.
Ready to assemble, I made a white cardstock card base, then mounted the embossed panel on top. The sentiment “Burst’ scircle was added next.
To finish, the flowers were arranged and pressed into place with foam squares and/or glue.

I hope you enjoyed our project today, and hopefully it provided a little spark of inspiration! ♥
