Heirloom Flair

Hi Creative Friends,

I am sharing one of two card designs I made using the same Heirloom stamp and die set by Concord & 9th. This set came out last month or so, and I have been itching to use it. The sweet little flowers just spoke to me… maybe it will for you too.

For this card, I started by cutting out a myriad of small flowers and leaves from a few different colors of Spellbinders’ cardstock and the die set. One of the wonderful things about this set is that you can use any color combination you love. I chose blue, yellow, and a couple of pinks (see my color selection in the supply list below). And though there are two styles of flowers, I only used the posy-type one for this card design.

With the flowers and leaves ready to go, I cut an Indigo blue cardstock panel to mount them on. I also cut a sentiment and its shadow using the new Kristina Werner – Concord & 9th One Word Greeting dies set

Once I was happy with the arrangement, I added small foam squares to the back of each flower and the sentiment, then pressed them into place.

To finish the card, I added another slightly larger panel (Beeswax yellow) behind the flower-studded one, then added foam to the back. The whole assembly was added to a white card base.
