A GARDEN TO A FRIEND
Hi Cardmaking Friends,
Concord & 9th has a brand new release, and it is filled with awesome goodies. Over the coming days, you will see a sampling of new card designs featuring their newest. Today, I am starting with a pretty stamp, die, and stencil set called Garden’s Edge. These lovely flowers are so cheerful, they couldn’t help but bring a smile to anyone’s face!

I started with the best part… the flowers. They were stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto Tim Holtz’s Watercolor paper. Then, using several of the delicious new ink colors by Concord & 9th and the coordinating stencil, I blended on the color. I used Berry Kiss for the large flower, Basil and Surfside for the leaves, Bluebell, for the spikey flowers, Aster for the berries, and finally a perennial favorite, Buttercup for the small flowers.
When done, the flower edge was cut out using the matching die, and the bottom edge was fussy-cut out with a pair of detail scissors.

Using an A2-sized white card panel and cardbase, I mounted a strip of Windy blue cardstock, then a thin strip of gold foil with the floral edge on top.
The sentiment was next. I cut out two ‘friend’ words from the die set, stacked and glued them together, then stamped the additional sentiment from the stamp set with Nocturne ink.

That finished my card design for today. I love the colorful flowers and the cheery vibe it gives!
I hope this card design cheers you up, too and you will give it a whirl. You won’t be disappointed! ♥
