Sending You Sunshine
Hi Crafty Peeps,
I have a new card design for you today. I used the charming Bitty Floral set by Hero Arts. It has a beautifully floral cover plate and matching stencils. You can have sooooo much fun with these, and they are perfect for nearly every occasion – just change the sentiment to suit your event!

You can use any color palette you like! I chose a little less traditional and went for a more landscape/nature vibe.
I first cut out the cover plate with Oceanside blue cardstock and set it aside.
Next, I stenciled on the flowers and leaves, one stencil at a time (each stencil is numbered). I used all Concord & 9th inks. I first used Ivory (I know, it looks just as if it is solid Alabaster cream cardstock, but I actually stenciled the flowers on. The small flowers and centers were stenciled with Spiced Cider and Nutmeg. For the leaves, I used Eucalyptus and Juniper for the veining. Once done, I cut out all the flowers and leaves using the cover plate again.
Next, the cut-out Oceanside blue panel we cut earlier was mounted onto an Alabaster cream panel. I used spray adhesive (see supply list below) for a quick and easy way to glue the panel securely without a gluey mess! This spray adhesive always saves the day!

For a more dimensional look, I curved the flowers and leaves by placing each one in the palm of my hand and pressing a small ball end tool or Q-tip in the center. This popped them up a bit much like foam squares do, then glued them in place.
Using the Perfect Pairs sentiment set by Hero Arts, I stamped ‘Hello, sending you sunshine’ sentiment onto Alabaster cream cardstock and used the matching pairs to cut them out.
Once the sentiment was centered and placed on the front, I was ready to call this project complete!

I hope you enjoyed today’s artsy adventure. I loved the versatile nature of this set and will absolutely use this set again very soon! ♥
