Hi Everyone,
We are nearing graduation time and this year, more than ever, our grads need an extra special treatment since many of them may not be able to attend a formal graduation ceremonies. What better way to celebrate than making a special card, just for them!
This card design came together using the Hats Off stamp and die set by Papertrey Ink, an Ink To Paper collection. It is chocked full of stamps and matching dies to make all sorts of graduation cards, not to mention other graduation projects.
We are collaborating with Papertrey Ink/Ink To Paper to bring you a short series of graduation card projects. This is the first in the series. Don’t miss the ‘sneak peek’ below of what’s coming up in this series! And, as a special bonus, there will be step-by-step videos for each design – YAY!
This card design is simple, but dramatic at the same time. I love the simplicity. Check out how it is made in our short video below:
Hopefully, you have had a chance to view the short video. Here are a few close-ups of the details.
This design starts with a black and white slat background. The great thing about this background is that it can work with any background color. For instance, you could use school colors or the grads favorite colors. The black and white theme of this one makes it uni-sex and gives an elegant appearance.
The caps are stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts Detail Black embossing powder and the grey leaves are stamped with Weathervane, a Papertrey Ink ink color. Then, combined with the gold tassels and sentiment, you have a stunning card, all done in a blink of the eye!
Now that the first card design in this short series has been revealed, stay tuned for more. Here is a snippet of the others coming. Each design has its own video – double YAY!
