Our Little Feathered Friend

Hi Crafty Friends,

Every month, Papertrey Ink – Ink To Paper releases one or two new Feathered Friends bird stamps and dies. This card design (+ video) features the latest in the series, the adorable Feathered Friends 10, along with a few of my very favorite stamp and die sets. These birds can be used in so many ways. I decided this one needed a gilded cage from the Vintage Flair stamp and die set. It is accompanied by a beautiful branch and flowers.

Now that you have viewed the video, here are a few images to give you a closer look. Take a look at all the luscious colors in the blue-green background and the smaller textured background. Each element and layer adds something to the card design.

The Feathered Friend 10 bird was stamped using Papertrey Ink ink cubes. They are all listed in the supply list below. Of course, any of your favorite color combinations can be used. For this project, I wanted a more tropical feel.

The branch and flowers in the Blossoming Branches stamp and die set really accent the design and intertwine beautifully with the delicate Vintage Flair terrarium/cage.
