Hi Crafty Friends,
Here is a sweet, clean, and simple card you can use for any occasion! It features delightful daisies from the Bunch of Daisies die by Penny Black.
This card uses very few supplies and is super simple – YAY! It starts with a white card stock card base and a white card stock panel. Using the white card panel, I centered the second to the largest frame from the Antique Frame die set and the Bunch of Daisies die onto the panel, then ran it through my die-cutting machine… and VIOLA! … both the frame and the daisies were cut at once.
Then, with a smaller watercolor paper panel, I embossed the daisies onto the panel using the rubber mat for my die-cutting machine. This way the imprint of the daisies was on the watercolor panel, making it an easy painting guide.
Using my new fav, Karin watercolor markers and the embossed watercolor panel, I applied a rosy red color at the base of all the petals. Then with a small wet brush, I drew the color down so it was lighter at the tips of the petals. For the center of the flowers, I used a golden yellow with a touch of brown and the leaves have green and a little yellow at the tips.
Once the water coloring was dry, I mounted it to the back of the white cut-out panel with a little repositionable mono adhesive dot applicator, matching up the coloring with the daisies cut out. Then, the whole thing was mounted with foam tape onto the white card stock card base. The sentiment ‘A Sweet Wish’ from the Happy Snippets stamp set by Penny Black (I reach for this sentiment stamp set time and time again!) was stamped with black ink and the strip was mounted onto the front.
And there we have it, a sweet, lovely card for any occasion! ♥
Simple, but such a pretty card. Very nice job.
