Hi Crafty Friends,
Thanks for joining me today! I am sharing a video (see below) to show you another way you can use this fabulous Painted Peony stamp and die set by Concord & 9th. This set has beautiful blossoms, leaves, and my fav, berries… all the makings of something amazing!
This card design features a field of flowers but I think it would be equally lovely with subdued colors or another color palette. Check out the video to see all the steps.
Below are a few close-ups to give you a better look at the details.
Making a shiplap card front is first on the agenda. This is easily made with a dark background and strips of white cardstock with ink blended on the grooves.
An explosion of colors is added to the card front by stamping, coloring, and cutting out bunches of flowers, leaves, and berries, then arranging them on the front. A circle is cut using Papertrey Ink – Ink to Paper Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles and stamped with a sentiment from the Penny Black Thinking of You stamp set.
With the sentiment circle pressed in position, all that was left was to add a few black glittery stickles to the center of each flower.
The finished project is ablaze with flowers and color, ready to delight any recipient!
