Papertrey Ink has a brand new release – YAY! In this release is another stunning die set to add to the Into The Blooms series, the Dahlia. It features beautiful, full blooms and lacy, detailed foliage that is to die for!
We have included a video to show you all the steps to creating our card design. We hope you like it!
We are in love with the vibrant background created with a piece of hot-pressed watercolor paper and a few Papertrey Ink ink cubes, Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, and True Black. When dry, it was trimmed and mounted onto an A2 white card panel, then onto a white card base.
The flowers were cut from stout Neenah 110 lb. white card stock, then lightly tipped with Pure Poppy on the ends of each petal. The flowers were assembled and the center was colored with the shimmery Delicata Golden Glitz ink, then pressed into place.
The foliage was our favorite part! The two fern-like dies included with the Dahlia die set are gorgeous. They have so much detail and are so lacy and beautiful. We were also so excited that this die set complete with flowers and foliage, can be used again and again all year long!
The card was easy to put together. Once the background was mounted, the flowers and the foliage were added. We had a few pieces from the Sprigs and Sprays: Holiday set from the last release left so we tucked them in too.
The sentiment was stamped with Pure Poppy for a tone-on-tone look. A few dots of white ink were added and that completed our card design. We hope you had a chance to few the video and enjoyed seeing everything come together! ♥
