Hi Creative Friends,
Since Easter will be here soon, I had some fun with the Easter Bunny and Friends stamp set by Alexandra Renke. This set is filled with the most adorable bunnies yet! There are a big bunch of bunnies and each one is super sweet.
We are always introducing a wonderful set of circle dies that cut out a ring of hearts or ovals by Moda Scrap, an Italian company. This set really adds to any card design. For this one, it set off the uber-cute bunny motif.
The hardest part for me is always deciding on a card design, but once I do, like this one, it was a snap to make. I started by stamping the bunny and a few eggs onto white cardstock. I used an alcohol marker-friendly ink like Lawn Fawn premium black. Then lightly colored the bunny with a C2 Copic marker and R20 for his ears and cheeks. The eggs were also colored using R20, Rv06, and BG000, BG15 respectively. They were then fussy cut and set aside.
Next, with a 4″x 5.25″ white cardstock panel, I cut out a circle with a 2.5″ circle die and at the same time cut out the decorative outer circle using the Moda Scrap Creative Circle set.
It was time for the sentiment. Papertrey Ink just came out with a wonderful set, Spring Greetings. I used a sentiment from there and stamped it with Versafine Black Onyx ink – my fave for a black, crisp impression.
Next, with the freshly cut panel, I placed it over an A2-sized white card stock panel and very lightly traced the circle so I had a guideline where to add my background color. I blended on Picked Raspberry and then Festive Berries. To finish, I splattered on tiny dots of Festive Berries and white bleed-proof ink (I love this stuff! – see supply list below).
I added the ink blended panel to the front of an A2-sized white stock card base. Then, after adding a foam backing to the cut circle panel, I mounted it over top. A little section of grass was cut using a grass die and a scrap of Easter Grass card stock. The grass was tucked in and the bunny with his eggs was added with a little foam tape.
This sweet card was finished. I just love how the circle showcases the adorable bunny and eggs, I hope you did too! ♥
