Hi Creative Friends,
We are doing something super fun and a little different today. We are participating in Amy Tsuruta‘s Woodblock challenge! To kick it off, Amy is sharing an uber-cute card design featuring adorable hedgehogs in the Penny Black Partying woodblock stamp.
Take a look at this cutie, then pop over to Amy’s blog to enter the challenge. Foiled Fox is Amy’s sponsor for this woodblock challenge.
Hey Foiled Fox Friends. It’s Amy Tsuruta and I’m super excited to have The Foiled Fox as my January sponsor for Woodblock Wednesday. What’s Woodblock Wednesday? It’s a feature I started on my personal blog to use my woodblock stamps. I quickly realized that many of us have quite the stash of these stamps so it became a monthly challenge. Let me share my project for today and then I’ll let you know how to join in the fun.
Here are the supplies I used for today’s project:
- Penny Black – Partying
- Hero Arts – Absolutely Awesome
- Lawn Fawn – Scalloped Rectangle Stackables
- Hero Arts – Rectangle Infinity dies
- Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker – 12 color set
- Concord & 9th – Assorted Cardstock – 48 colors
I stamped the Penny Black image on watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx. The image has been colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Rectangles to cut out the colored panel. It is layered on top of a Parsley panel cut with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle die.
I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment on a watercolor panel and cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle to adhere inside the card.
One random linked-up project will receive a $25 Gift Code to The Foiled Fox.
Challenge closes on February 5th at 5 am Pacific. Linky is at the bottom of this post.
