A Festive Noel

A Festive Noel

Hi Creative Friends,

We are starting off the week with a gorgeous holiday BetterPress project by Dana Kirby. As you well know, she a super talent and we are lucky enough to share a few of her projects. This one features an Old English Noel. The Festive Noel BetterPress press plate is so intricate and beautiful and just look at what Dana did to really make it shine!

Hi friends! It’s Dana here again today with another card that uses the Spellbinders Betterpress Letterpress System. I am in love with this machine. It’s so easy to use and the results are always flawless. Have you given it a try? I know you won’t be disappointed!

I started my card by using the Betterpress Letterpress System and the Festive Noel Plate. I added Betterpress Black ink to the plate and attached a Porcelain Cotton Card Panel before running it through my die-cutting machine.

I then used Distress ink (Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Rusty Hinge, and Fossilized Amber), along with a Copic marker (G03) to color the florals and foliage. Next, I splattered the panel with a little gold watercolor for some added detail. I trimmed the panel down and attached it to a Pure Poppy cardstock mat. I then wrapped a piece of baker’s twine around a True Black patterned paper mat. Lastly, I layered my panels with some foam adhesive and attached everything to an A2 card base.

The detail on the plates is amazing and I think they make the most beautiful Christmas cards. I hope I inspire you to give it a try!!

Enjoy your day,

Dana
