A Floral Paradise Hello

A Floral Paradise Hello

Hi Crafty Friends,

Papertrey Ink has a new release and we are sharing a bright and colorful card design (and video!) using a new stamp and die set called Floral Paradise. It features beautiful Birds of Paradise flowers and leaves.

Here is a step-by-step video on how to use all the pieces from the Floral Paradise stamp set to create these striking flowers.

The card design starts with a white card stock card base and a wide white frame made using the Border Basics: Rectangle die.  These were then set aside so we could make all the flowers and leaves.

We did a little poking around the internet for photos of real Birds of Paradise plants to help determine our color scheme. We used Green Parakeet, New Leaf, and Pinefeather for the leaves and stems and Raspberry Fizz, Amethyst Allure, and Summer Sunrise (though Orange Zest is a great choice too) for the flowers. The video shows you how all the parts of the flowers come together to create these amazing blossoms.

With the flowers and leaves done, a piece of Green Parakeet cardstock was centered on top of the card base. The wide white border was added next using some foam tape.

The flowers and leaves were arranged, then secured with bits of foam tape.

The sentiment was next. The sweet script ‘hello’ from the new Just Sentiments: Happy Hello stamp set was stamped using Versafine Black Onyx ink.

Then, to add a special touch, an inside greeting from the Inside Greetings: Happy Hello stamp set was stamped onto a piece of green parakeet card stock, along with a few leaves and secured inside the card.

That completes our project. We hope you enjoyed it and had a chance to view the video, see you next time!
