A Vase of Roses

A Vase of Roses

Hi Everyone,

Today we have a brand video (see below) that features the new Vase Collection I combined with one of my favorites, Vintage Flair. The roses in Vintage Flair are a perfect compliment for the vase… especially since roses are my favorite flower! 🙂

Here is the video I promised

As you saw in the video (I hope you had time to view it!), the background was embossed using the Dainty Deliveries Frame and the rubber mat for your die-cutting machine. It was embossed onto a lovely colored cardstock, Smokey Shadow, then mounted onto a white card base.

The vase was cut from white cardstock and colored and stamped with the help of a blending brush and Blueberry Sky ink, then added with foam tape to the card front, along with a white rectangle card stock center.

Using the Vintage Flair stamp and die set and a piece of hot-pressed watercolor paper (see supply list below), I cut out a bunch of roses.  Then, stamped and colored them with my new fav, Karin watercolor brush markers.

Once all the flowers were done, I played florist and arranged roses. When I was happy with the arrangement, I glued and/or used foam tape to adhere them in place.

The sentiment was cut out using the new Perfect Pairs: Essentials then stamped with the coordinating stamp. The sentiment was then added with some foam tape and glue and a few red enamel dots were added.

And that finishes this card design. I love its simplicity and vibrant colors against the dark background. I hope you did too!

  1. Absolutely gorgeous! Love how you embossed that cover plate. I have a heck of a time cutting with mine, so I may just use it or embossing! I do like the cut look too though!
