An Evergreen Noel

An Evergreen Noel

Hi Creative Friends,

I didn’t quite make it into July for a Christmas in July card but it is never too early to get started on your holiday cards. But I did manage to make my first-holiday card of the season using a few new Penny Black holiday goodies like Immense Noel and Festive Finesse!

This card design is so easy to make! It only takes a few supplies too. So, let’s jump in.

I made a Peppermint red card stock card base and a matching panel, Because the NOEL is a little longer, I used a 4 1/4″ x 5 5/8″ card base when folded, and a matching panel.

Next, using one of the new awesome embossing folders Variegated by Penny Black, I embossed the Peppermint red panel. Be sure you spritz the back of the paper before embossing. It really helps the paper stretch a little and creates a crisp, deep impression!

Onto the Noel, I cut four Noel’s using the Immense Noel die and Easter Grass green cardstock, then stacked and glued them together.

Next, I cut out five sprigs of holly with berries using the new Festive Finesse die (also by Penny Black). Each sprig was cut from a different color of cardstock, except the Jawbreaker one. I cut two of this color, then stacked and glued them together.

I also cut sprigs using Peppermint red, Candy Hearts pink, Easter Grass, and Gumdrop. These colored sprigs I used for layering by cutting off the leaves from the Gumdrop and Easter Grass sprigs and the berries from the red and pink sprigs. They were then layered and glued to the Jawbreaker sprig base.

I was almost done! All I had to do was adhere the embossed card panel to the front of the card base. Next, I weaved the layered sprig into the center of Noel and glued the whole thing onto my card front.

That was all there was to it! It was amazingly fast to make and I love the result!! I hope you do too!
