Autumn Inlay + video

Autumn Inlay + video

Hi Creative Friends,

I am so happy to share a new project including a VIDEO showcasing the brand new Concord & 9th Autumn Inlay and More To Say sentiment set. I am in love with the beautiful leaves and especially the acorns that complete this display of Fall!

This card design was super fun to make and I love how you can use all sorts of colors combination to create this card. Every color scheme you use changes the mood and flavor of the design. For the video demonstration below I used a Midnight blue background with Fall colored leaves. See all the makings of this card in the video below.

To easily place the elements (leaves and acorns), instead of cutting the Autumn Inlay panel, I first embossed a bristol paper panel using my rubber embossing mat for my die-cutting machine. I made sure to emboss a deep impression but not cut all the way through. The panel was ink blended using Midnight blue ink from Concord & 9th.

I cut another bristol paper panel, cutting all the way through. From there, I ink blended the leaves and acorns using ink daubers (for ease) and a myriad of Concord & 9th ink colors. You can check out the whole list in the supply list at the end of this post.

The sentiment was made using the More To Say sentiments set, white and burnt orange Candy Corn card stock.

Above is another example. I did. I went for all the yellows, greens, oranges, and browns of Fall.  I used distress inks for this card design. The background was colored with Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, and Vintage Photo. The leaves and acorns were colored using more distress inks like Crushed Olive, Rustic Wilderness, Forest Moss, Wild Honey, Lumberjack Plaid, Ripe Persimmon, and Vintage Photo.

Another great way to use the Autumn Inlay cover plate is to not ink blend at all, but rather use a variety of colored card stocks. There are so many ways you can use this cover plate. I think you could even use it for Spring and Summer. Just change the color combinations.

I hope you enjoyed this project and video. If you did, please give us a thumbs up and subscribe if you haven’t already. Thank you so much for watching!
