Beautiful Florals To Brighten Your Day!

Beautiful Florals To Brighten Your Day!

Hi Crafty Friends,

We are back on the Papertrey Ink youtube channel to share another video and brand new stamp and die set called Pop-Up Florals by Papertrey Ink – Ink To Paper. This set has a bevy of beautiful flowers, leaves, and sentiments to choose from, plus it has a few extra ‘accordion’ pieces you can use to actually pop-up your flowers and a separate envelope die to complete the picture. For this card design, we are filling the card front with a spray of flowers and a charming butterfly.

Check out the video below. It illustrates all the steps on how to make this card!

To help give you a closer look at the details, we have included a few images. Our first pic gives you a closer look at the white background frame, cut using the Border Basics: Rectangle and white cardstock, then embossed using the Vines cover plate (another new die).

Below you can see the flowers that were stamped on watercolor paper, then painted with a few Papertrey Ink inks like Raspberry Fizz, Scarlet Jewel, Bright Buttercup, and Summer Sunrise. We also stamped some leaves and colored them with Ripe Avocado, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, and Pine Feather. When dry, all the flowers and leaves were cut out with the matching dies.

A sentiment from the new Just Sentiments: Bloom mini stamp set was stamped and white heat embossed onto a black card stock piece.

With all the pieces ready for assembly, we started with a white card stock card base, then added  slightly smaller Hibiscus Burst pink card stock panel on top.

Foam tape was added to the back of the white embossed frame and the black panel with the sentiment was mounted in the center. This whole bit was then added as the next layer. Finally, the flowers were arranged and pressed on with foam tape and white splatters added with Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleedproof White ink.

The final touch was to add the charming butterfly from Vintage Flair stamps set that had been stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and painted with the same colors used below. To add a shimmer, accent lines were added with a Stardust gel pen.
