Berry Christmas Wreath

Berry Christmas Wreath

Hi, my wonderfully crafty friends,

We are sharing a simple wreath that is filled with red berries and other charming little decorations. It is made from a few new Alexandra Renke dies like the Large Berry Wreath with birds die and Mini Decoration set.

This is an easy but lovely holiday card you can make quickly! It starts with two white card stock panels. The sizes are  5 1/2″ and  4 1/2″ square. Laying out both panels on my work surface, I very slightly splattered them with shimmery gold ink. My go-to ink for this is the Finetec Artist Mica set (see in the supply list below). After the panels were splattered, I set them aside to dry.

I wasn’t finished with the gold paint yet. Using the Large Berry Wreath die, I cut two from white card stock, then painted them with the same gold paint as before. When dry, I randomly stacked and glued them together. I also cut out lots of red berries that are included in the wreath set. I used Peppermint red card stock for that.

At the same time, I cut out tiny birds, stars, and other winter motifs, using the Mini Decorations die set and white card stock and three sets of Peppermint red ‘Noel” sentiments from the Festive Corner die set by Concord & 9th.

With all the elements ready, I started to put it all together by first mounting the large gold ink-splattered panel onto a 5 1/2″ square white cardstock card base. Then, cut a 4 3/4″ square panel from beautiful Shimmer Antique gold cardstock and mounted it to the back of the gold splattered 4 1/2″ panel. when added this grouping to the front of the card base.

Next, I added the cut-out red berries to the wreath and mounted the wreath. The mini white cut-out decorations was arranged and glued onto the wreath.

For the sentiment, I stacked and glued the three red “Noel’s” previously cut and mounted the ‘Noel” to a crisp vellum (48lb.) strip. The strip was then mounted with thin slivers of an adhesive foam square to complete the card.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope to see you next time!
