Hi Crafty Friends,
I am sharing a super fun celebration card design. This one happens to be a birthday news headline for someone special. The Happy Headlines stamp and die set is awesome for light-hearted fun!
This stamp and die set is so clever and oodles of fun! You can create projects to celebrate all kinds of events, such as weddings, anniversary, new babies, graduation, and, of course, birthdays! Concord & 9th has thought of everything!
This stamp and die set came out a few months ago but I saved it just for someone special’s birthday. I knew it would be a hit!
I started with an A2-sized panel of white card stock and a matching A2 white card base. With the panel in my stamp positioner and the main stamp, I blocked off the EXCITING NEWS with craft tape, then inked it with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I removed the tape and stamped it.
Next, I taped below and above the exciting news headline, then inked it with Versafine Clair Paradise ink, (removed the tape, of course) and stamped it. For extra pop, I removed the large stamp, then added the “wonderful person… around the sun” sentiment, and stamped it using the same Paradise ink again.
Now that the main panel was done, it was mounted onto the card base and the pops of color and fun were added by using the matching die set and cutting out the “YAY!”, party hat, and cloud/sun from scraps of colored card stock and mounting them in place.
That completes the card design for today. I really enjoyed this set and I know I will be reaching for this set again and again! ♥
