Bright, Cheery Layered Blooms

Bright, Cheery Layered Blooms

Hi Crafty Friends,

I simply can’t get enough of these multi-layered flowers from the new die set, Into The Blooms II by Papertrey Ink – Ink To Paper. I loved the first Into The Blooms set and this one is just as terrific! For this card design, I chose bright and cheery colors.

Take a look at the demonstration video below.

As you saw in the video, this is a quick but impactful design, especially when using bright colors as I did. The bright colors were achieved by first starting with colored paper and then giving them a tint by brushing on some complementary ink colors.

The different colors of paper I used were Bright Buttercup, Hibiscus Burst, Pure Poppy, White, and Green Parakeet for the leaves. I have called out all the ink colors that were used for tinting the flower and leaves in the video, but you can also catch them in the supply list below.

All the flowers were stacked and glued, then arranged on a white card stock card base where a black dotted panel was placed on top, along with a small white rectangle to give the flowers a backdrop.

Once all the flowers and leaves were in place, the summery sentiment was added … and that completed the card!
