Brightly Shining

Brightly Shining

Hi Crafty Friends,

I am super excited to share this new card design. It features the brand new Deerest Blessings stamp and dies set by Papertrey Ink. At the center of this set is an elegant deer with fanciful antlers, charming trees, and other goodies. I fell in love with it all and everything you need is contained in the one set!

I started with a Bristol paper panel, stamp positioner, sparkle embossing folder, and a few snowflake/star stamps from the set. I liberally pounced on anti-static powder to prep the paper, then chucked it into my stamp positioner, along with a few starry stamps arranged at the top of the panel. The stamps were inked, sprinkled with embossing powder, and heat-set.

Next, I blended Stormy Sky distress ink onto the panel, then darkened it with Prize Ribbon distress ink. It was set aside.

I turned my attention to the trees. They were inked and stamped using a few distress inks. Check them out in the supply list below. They were all cut out using the matching die set.

Next, the deer was inked and stamped with a sparkly golden ink, Delicata Golden Glitz and accents added using Rusty Hinge.

The long presents were stamped with Carnation pink ink and the others with Poppy red.

I created a snowy hill by ripping the edges of two strips of Neenah white card stock and adding glittery Stickles. They were set aside to dry,

With everything stamped, cut out, and dry, it was time to assemble. First, the background panel was mounted to a card base. The snowy banks were next but first, I stamped the sentiment with Poppy ink.

The trees and gifts were arranged, tucked, and secured with foam squares.

Finally, the deer and his glorious antlers were mounted to finish the card.

Thank you for joining me today. This was a fun card to create and what a snowy scene it made! I hope you enjoyed it and give it a whirl!
