Concord & 9th has a new release and boy, is it a cute one! Other very exciting news from Concord & 9th is that they have expanded their color palette of inks and matching cardstock – YAY! Now there are sooooo many luscious colors to choose from!
So, of course, we couldn’t pass up making a card using these brand-new goodies. In this project, we are featuring a new stamp and die set called Triple Step Posy Print, and giving you a taste of some of their fantastic new colors!
There is nothing like a sweet, cheery card to brighten someone’s day. We think this is the card design that can do just that. Another great thing is that it is super simple to make!
We started by creating an A2 white cardstock card base and mounting a panel of Dragonfruit cardstock on top. Then, with another panel of white card stock, we mounted it in our stamp positioner, along with the flower tops stamp. We inked it up using a variety of colors, like Grapefruit, Buttercup, Honeysuckle, and Dragonfruit from the Concord & 9th ink colors.
Next, we added the stems by mounting this stamp into the stamp positioner, lining it up with the flowers, and stamping them using Concord & 9th Parsley ink. The only thing left to stamp was the sentiment “Thinking Of You”. We used Honeysuckle ink, then cut it out using a die in the coordinating die set.
We also cut from the matching paper, little posy tops, center, and stems using more dies in the set. The posies were assembled and glued.
To put this all together, we added a foam backing to the posy-filled panel, then mounted it on top of the Dragonfruit panel on our cardbase. Next, we added the sentiment rectangle with some foam squares. The final step was to mount a few of our assembled flowers using a foam square onto our patch of flowers.
WOW! Our card is done already and what a sweet, easy card! ♥
