Hi Creative Friends,
Dara Kirby, our friend and super card designer, is sharing a gorgeous card that is filled with love! Her background was created with a brilliant and new stencil by Honey Bee Stamps called Hearts In Bloom, plus a few stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink. You can check out all the detail and how-tos below.
Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a Valentine’s Day card to share with you all.
I started my card by using the Hearts in Bloom layering stencil set from Honey Bee Stamps. I used Cherry Red, Passionate Pink, Bubblegum Pink, and Lucky Clover ink from Gina K ink for my blending. Although I used “Valentine” colors, I think this stencil set will be so sweet in soft pastels for springtime and even a baby card!
Next, I used the Larger Than Life: Love die and coordinating stamp set from Papertrey Ink for my sentiment. I die-cut the word Love from gold cardstock and then stacked it onto three layers of white cardstock for some dimension. Next, I offset the stack onto a Pure Poppy Love die cut to create a shadow. I then used the Larger Than Life: Love Sentiments set to stamp my companion sentiment. I heat set the sentiment with gold embossing powder. Lastly, I attached my sentiment onto a heart die cut that I created with the Love to Layer: Hearts die.
Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card. I will be back soon with another project to share with you all.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
