Get Ready for 2024

Hi Creative Friends,

Are you ready to give a gift that is super useful the whole year through and loads of fun to make? Then consider making a calendar for your friends and family (don’t forget to make one for yourself too!).

Concord & 9th makes it delightfully easy with their 2024 Calendar stamp set. I combined it with their Build-A-Bloom die set for a fresh, floral theme. I have to say, I didn’t think I would enjoy making this calendar as much as I did. I  liked making it so much that I created a video to show you how simple and fun it is – take a look below!

This calendar came together so simply and I love the result. Here is the video to show you some tips and hints on making and putting it together, plus how to make a dimensional envelope to complete the gift.

You can choose any color combinations for the paper and inks. I made it extra simple by using Concord & 9th’s assorted cardstock stack and coordinating inks but you can use whatever inks and cardstock you would like. It is also a great way to use up your scraps.

Below are a few close-ups of different months to give you some ideas.

I used two different layouts for the calendar so I alternated months. To save time and aggravation, I stamped every other month with one layout, then changed the format and stamped the remaining months.

Below is the second layout to show you what I mean.

I used colors of cardstock to match the months. For instance, a wintry, light blue for January and red for Valentine’s Day in February. One of the beauties of this calendar is that you can chose whatever color combination, or monochrome for that matter, that you like. There is no right or wrong, it is just what tickles your fancy!

As you saw in the video, I used a Cinch machine by We R Memory Keepers to bind the calendar but you can easily use rings (shown in the video and supply list) or take it to your local store that makes copies and such (ours is a Fedex store). They usually have binding options you can choose from to bind your calendars and it is usually quite affordable!

I hope you enjoyed the video and you will give it a try! It is a blast!
