Gorgeous Red Wallpaper Art Flower

Gorgeous Red Wallpaper Art Flower

Hi Crafty Friends,

We hope you are all well and safe! Today, we are sharing a gorgeous red flower created by Rosali of I Love Stamping (IG: @ilovestamping). Rosali has made a glorious single blossom for us.

To begin, Rosali created a long, slender (4″ x 8.5″) card base out of Neenah white card stock. This slender card is perfect for showcasing a single flower.

Next, with a slightly smaller white card stock front panel, she stamped one of the flowers and a set of leaves from the Altenew Wallpaper Art stamp set with an alcohol marker friendly ink, like MFT’s Extreme Hybrid black, then colored the flower and leaves with Copic markers. Rosali used:

R27, R29, R39, R89 – Y06, Y35 – YG13, YG17, YG67, and G28 – then a white gel pen for accent dots of the leaves

When the entire flower was colored, a few distress inks: Tumbled Glass and Pine Needles were blended onto the edges.  Then the bottom portion of the panel was masked off to form a crisp edge so she could blend Pine Needles distress ink to the bottom section. A few tiny splatters were also added to the top of the panel.

The last step was to add the sentiment by cutting from black card stock the letters H E Y.  ‘You’ (from the stamp set) was white heat embossed on the letter “H” and then adhered to the card.

And there we have it, a beautiful card ready for a favorite friend.
