Just In Time For Spring: Blossoming Branches

Just In Time For Spring: Blossoming Branches

Hi Everyone,

To complete our “Ink To Paper” week-long extravaganza, I am popping in with a simple card design using a new stamp and die set by Ink To Paper, Blossoming Branches. This set features awesome branches and flowers – who would have thought?

Along with some fantastic stamp and die sets in this month’s release, February’s release has some great frames and borders to help you create super projects. I am using the Border Bling: Chain die today.

I started this project by stamping the flowers and the smaller branch from the stamp set. To do this, I used Papertrey Ink’s ink cubes Sweet Blush to stamp the flowers and Hibiscus Burst for the darker veins in the flowers. The leaves were stamped with Ocean Tides and Stormy Sea for the leaf veins. The branch was stamped with Fine Linen and Dark Chocolate. Whew! With those done, they were cut out with the matching dies.

The branch, flowers, and leaves are of course the centerpiece of this card so all that was left was to pull it together by cutting two “Chain” borders, one in Eucalyptus card stock and the other in white. I stacked and glued the Eucalyptus frame onto the white, just to give it a little height. I then mounted the border onto a white card base.

Next, I positioned the branch in the center, added the leaves and popped up the flowers with a bit of foam tape. I tucked in a few smaller leaves by stamping them directly onto the card base, using the same inks as before.

The only thing left was to stamp one of the sentiments from the stamp set with True Black ink and add tiny dots of Nuvo Gold Dream drops.

Can you believe it? The card is done already and ready to send – YAY!
