Hi Crafty Friends,
I am back with another project using more of the fantastic stamps and dies from the new release by Papertrey Ink, an Ink To Paper collection. This one uses the new and adorable Feathered Friend 2, plus a few more goodies. This little birdie is so cute and he is sending his love.
This one started by creating a background panel. For this, I brushed on a light layer of Green Parakeet on the bottom, then worked my way up the panel using a cloud stencil and a light touch of Tropical Teal. When the panel was complete. I added a pierced edge with the Pierced Rectangles by Papertrey Ink.
Next, I cut out the cute Feathered Friend 2 bird and colored it with Tropical Teal and Hawaiian Shores for the main parts of the bird. The breast was colored with Bright Buttercup and Summer Sunrise for his feet. He was assembled and set aside while I worked on a few other elements.
The flowers and branch were created by stamping the flowers with Sweet Blush and then for the second layer, I used a mix of Lovely Lady and Raspberry Fizz, with a Bright Buttercup center with a second stamping with True Black and the tiny center in the set. I cut out green leaves from the Border Bling: Twig set and shaded them with New Leaf and a touch of Ripe Avocado.
I was ready to assemble, I just needed to cut a circle using the outer die from Floral Fusion. Once that was done, I mounted a panel of Tropical Teal Bitty Big plaid paper, then the cloud panel. The dotted circle was next. This one was popped up with foam tape and the branch, flowers, and leaves were assembled. I stamped the sentiment using one of the sentiments from the Hugs mini sentiment set and stole a heart from the Bee-utiful set (but I am sure you can find one in your stash of stamps!).
I popped on a few enamel dots and there we have it, a cute little birdie sending his love! ♥
