Hi Creative Friends,
I am shared another card design using the beautiful Holly Berries stamp and die set by Hero Arts. As I mentioned before, I love holly! I look forward to this season every year just so I can decorate my projects and house with holly… and berries, of course!
You may remember that I shared a card last week using this same stamp and die set but with a black background. Here, I changed it up by using a white card base, then added a kraft cardstock panel that I had splattered with Dr. Ph. Martin Bleedproof white ink. While that was drying, I made the holly sprig.
My process for creating the holly was the same as last week. I cut the holly bough out of white cardstock, then stamped it using a Copic-friendly ink. I used Copic markers for the coloring.
I used R05, R27, and R39 for the berries. For the holly leaves, I first colored the whole leaf with YG01, then used YG03, G28 for the shading. The pine sprigs were colored with YG17 and G48. The other berries were colored using BG10, BG49, and C4 for shading, along with E99 and E79 for the branch.
Once all the coloring was done, I mounted the holly (with a bit of foam tape on the back) onto my card front. The sentiment was added by first prepping the area with anti-static powder, then stamping the saying with Versamark ink and heat embossing with Carnation red embossing powder.
To finish, I tied a red and white baker’s twine bow at the top then added a few snowflakes that I had leftover from other projects. ♥
