Oh What Fun!

Oh What Fun!

Hi Creative Friends,

The holiday season is zooming our way so I have been busy making my holiday cards. I send a different card to each one on my holiday list so I was excited to see the new Tim Holz Vintage Sled thinlets. This set creates an awesome sled to make your card extra special.

I also created a video to walk you through each step. Here it is:

Then, as usual, I have a few close-ups and of course a few more tips along the way.

Let’s start with the lighter background version, the one demonstrated in the video. Here you can get up close and personal to all the details.

There are lots of ways to decorate your sled. I chose to use the greenery included in the set. I love the little pine cones and bow to bring it all together.

Next, is the dark background version. I used a forest green cardstock for the background planks. There is a wonderful dark green cardstock in both the Papertrey Ink pack of paper and the Concord & 9th one. I really like this color but didn’t realize the gray under the dark green planks would show up so much in the pics. In real life, you hardly see it but you know cameras, sometimes they accent something that really isn’t prominent in the project- ugh!

I love all the festive greenery and the glittery sentiment and bow. Again, the camera didn’t do it justice but trust me, the glitter paper really adds a twinkly touch.

I hope you enjoyed the video and that it provided a little inspiration. Please let me know which version you like the best.

Thanks for watching. See you next time.
