HI there,
Today we have a special treat… a new video we did for Papertrey Ink-Ink To Paper showing you how you can use their new, awesome Shutter It stamp and die set so you can make your own interactive card. This one is Halloween themed so we used another new stamp and die set called Scaredy Cat. It has the most adorable kitty-cats and other goodies.
Check out this new video. It demonstrates how to use the Shutter-It stamp and dies and a few tips and tricks along the way.
Now that you have had a chance to view the video. Here are a few close-ups for you to peruse. Let’s start by showing you how cute it is with the cat just starting to peek out of the pumpkin.
As I mentioned in the video, you don’t have to use the pull tabs to open and close the shutters if you don’t want to. You can easily slide them open with your fingers if you like.
Here it is closed with a black Halloween cat standing by wishing you a Happy Halloween.
Now for the close-up of the pumpkin-popping kitty-cat. As you can see, I used bright Halloween colors with a Summer Sunrise cardstock background textured with dry-wall tape and Weathervane ink. The ombre purple backdrop to the gray shutters was created by blending Autumn Rose, Winter Wisteria, and Plum Pudding inks onto a white cardstock panel. For your convenience, there is a complete supply list below to help you with the colors.
The pumpkin was colored with Copic markers and the background for the pumpkin was made by blending Bright Buttercup, Berry Sorbet, and Pure Poppy.
A sentiment from the new Just Sentiments: Halloween set was added. It was stamped on black cardstock and white heat embossed.
For one more extra, the inside was stamped with an inside greeting using the Inside Greeting: Halloween stamp set. Sorry, I don’t have a pic for that but you can see it in the video.♥
