Pattern Party

Pattern Party

Hi Creative Friends,

Papertrey Ink has a new stamp and die set called Pattern Party. You can make lots of different patterned circles in different sizes with this set. We thought making balloons was a fun and colorful way to show off all the cute patterns.

We also have a short how-to video demonstrating all the steps to share with you. Take a look below!

For a closer look at the detail of this card design, here are a few close-ups, plus a complete supply list. We used a variety of colors of Papertrey Ink cardstock and inks to show off the patterns. Papertrey has packs of colored cardstock, with matching inks you can use, making it easy to choose your favorites.

For the background, we used Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, a blending brush, and a cloud stencil. It makes a festive and cheerful background. To add to the cloud background, we added a few swirling clouds and of course the balloons.

The big birthday sentiment was stamped and cut out using the Perfect Pairs: Essentials set. To get that crisp black birthday stamping, we used Versafine Onyx Black ink.

When ready to assemble, we adhered a polka dot panel from the Hawaiian Shores Bitty Big paper collection to our slimline card base, then added the clouds. The balloons were arranged, along with their thread strings, and applied with a bit of foam tape. The ‘birthday’ sentiment was added on top.

We love that this card design works for anyone on your birthday list!
