Santa is on his way!

Santa is on his way!

Woohoo! This is a red-letter day. We are packed with lots of fun today. To start, Laurel Beard of Simply Cardmaking by Laurel is visiting us today and she has brought with her a wonderful project using the Penny Black Santa’s Visit stamp. Check it out below and learn a little bit about Laurel.

As a special treat, we have a giveaway… just in time for the Holidays! YAY! More info below.

Hey there! Today I am back with the Foiled Fox showcasing these two watercolored village scenes and wait till I tell you how easy it was to create these. Visit their store or blog for loads of inspiration. For today’s cards, I used the the Santa’s Visit stamp and some watercolors. Let’s look at the first version (and my personal favorite).

I inked up the Santa’s Village stamp with Versafine Onyx black ink, sprinkled on some black embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. Then I added some soft watercolors throughout the village.

My second card, I scribbled on different color watercolor markers directly onto the stamp, spritzed lightly with water and stamped. I added a little bit of water to move some of the watercolor on the trees and then added some color to the hills (light grey color).

A close up…
