Woohoo!
A brand new Papertrey Ink – Ink To Paper release has arrived! It is chocked full of wonderful stamps and dies and there is something for everyone, including awesome stamps and dies for Mom and Dad (after all their special days are right around the corner!).
It isn’t very often that “Dad” gets top-billing but today is the day. We are beginning the parade of super projects by using the new Seas of Life stamp and die set. To celebrate, we are sharing a how-to video on Papertrey Ink’s youtube channel. But for your convenience, you can just click below to view it!
This nautical-themed stamp and die set has all the makings to create your ocean scene. We chose to use the symbolic ship’s wheel and anchor for this project but there are lots more aquatic stamps and dies. All these nautical elements in this set help make a great card for Father’s Day but don’t stop there. They would also be fantastic for a birthday or other special occasions.

As you saw in the video, the ocean-like background was easily created by swiping a Dark Indigo ink cube across a Blueberry Sky panel. Then an ocean vignette was made with a few inks and the ocean stamps included in the set. When dry, a circle from the Scalloped Circle set was cut, along with a larger stitched circle.
With the help of a kraft cardstock stitched frame and a sentiment stamped and cut out, the card was assembled. The natural twine was fashioned into a rope around the anchor for our finishing touch.
